# 859937 Delivery Pipe | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta delivery pipe for cylinder number 2, from the Fuel System group, weighing 0.107 kg and listed for 3 applications on TMD and MD series engines. It supersedes part number 859704 — a number now covered by three separate pipes in this listing group, 859937 for cylinder 2, 859938 for cylinder 3 and 859939 for cylinder 4. All three weigh the same 0.107 kg, so the cylinder number is the only thing that identifies them and weight is no guide at all.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta TMD22A
- Volvo Penta MD22A
- Volvo Penta MD22P

- **Engine Family:** TMD, MD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- For cylinder number 2
- Supersedes 859704, which is now split across three cylinder-specific pipes
- 0.107 kg
- 3 applications on TMD and MD engines

## 🔌 Function

Carries injection-pressure fuel from its pump outlet to the injector on cylinder 2, holding the pressure wave that opens the injector.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel weeping from a union nut that will not seal however hard it is tightened
- Misfire or a knock on one cylinder that follows the pipe when it is swapped
- Chafe mark or bright rub line where the pipe has touched another component
- Cracking at the cone or behind the union nut
- Union cone found bruised, ridged or picked up on removal

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Do not bend a delivery pipe to fit — the routing is part of its design and work-hardening it will crack the cone
- Renew any clamps or spacers that separate the pipes; letting them touch will wear them through
- Bleed the system and check every union with the engine running before closing the engine space
