- Supersedes 861342
- 5 applications across TMD, TAMD and MD engines

## 🔌 Function

Carries the turbocharger's boost signal to the injection pump's smoke limiter, so fuelling is held back until the turbo has built pressure.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Black smoke on acceleration and a lazy pick-up under load
- Diesel or air smell around the pump end of the tube
- Tube chafed, cracked or flattened where it passes a bracket
- Union nuts weeping or found finger-loose
- Ferrule or flare damaged, so the joint will not seal on retightening

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the turbocharger's own boost and the smoke limiter diaphragm before condemning the tube, since both give the same symptom
- If the unions carry sealing washers, renew them rather than reusing them
