## ⚙️ Key Features

- 1.549 kg
- Cooling System group
- 14 applications across the TWD, TID, TD and TAD series

## 🔌 Function

Houses the thermostat and directs coolant either back through the engine or out to the radiator as the thermostat opens.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coolant weeping from the housing joint or from a corroded area of the casting
- Engine slow to warm, or overheating with the top hose staying cold
- Housing face pitted or eaten away so a new gasket still seeps
- Corrosion scale packed inside the housing restricting flow
- Cracks around a fixing boss or the hose stub

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Renew the thermostat and the gasket when the housing is changed, and check the hose stub for pitting
- Refill and bleed the system to the manual's procedure, then recheck for leaks once the engine has cycled hot and cold
