# 866544 Tube | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta tube from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 0.352 kg and listed for a single TAMD series application. With one application only, the engine designation is the whole of the identification - order by part number.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta TAMD163P-A

- **Engine Family:** TAMD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- 0.352 kg
- Listed for 1 application
- For TAMD series engines
- Inlet and Exhaust System group

## 🔌 Function

Routes air or a breather flow between two points on the inlet and exhaust side of the engine.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Air or exhaust leak audible at the tube joints
- Soot staining or oil misting around a connection
- Split, chafed or crushed section along the tube
- Flange or union face distorted so a clamp will not seal

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Fit the tube so it reaches both connections without being sprung into place — a tube pulled into line loads its ends and cracks, usually at a bend or a joint
- Renew the sealing washers, O-rings or gaskets at every connection rather than reusing them, and start each union by hand so you can feel that the thread and seating face are properly engaged before tightening
- Keep the bore clean: cap or plug both ends until the moment of fitting, and never blow debris through a tube into the component it feeds
- Support the tube in its original clips and brackets — an unsupported run will fatigue from engine vibration even though it sealed perfectly when new
- Do not straighten, re-bend or patch a damaged tube; its shape is what gives the correct stress-free fit, and tighten unions only to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine
