# 875499 Piston Ring Kit | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta piston ring kit in the 0.75 mm oversize grade, weighing 0.07 kg and listed for 4 applications across MD and AQD series engines. It is the rebored partner to the standard-bore kit 875498 in this run. Order by the measured bore and the oversize marking on the piston, not by weight — grade is the only reliable guide within a graded set.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta MD1B
- Volvo Penta MD2B
- Volvo Penta MD3B
- Volvo Penta AQD2B

- **Engine Family:** MD, AQD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- 0.75 mm oversize grade
- 0.07 kg
- Listed for 4 applications across MD and AQD series engines
- Standard-bore equivalent is 875498
- Order by measured bore, not by weight

## 🔌 Function

Seals a 0.75 mm oversize piston to the rebored cylinder wall, controls oil on the bore and carries combustion heat out to the liner.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Blue smoke on the overrun and rising oil use
- Compression down across one or more cylinders
- Breather blowing heavily under load
- Rings seized in their grooves at strip-down
- Bore worn or glazed on an engine already rebored once

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Measure the bore before ordering — this kit suits a bore taken out 0.75 mm and will not seal a standard one
- Match the kit to the oversize marking on the piston crown, and check the end gaps in the bore before assembly
