# 876240 Cylinder Liner Kit | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta cylinder liner kit for engines up to serial number 2071097292, from the Engine group, weighing 7.344 kg and listed for 9 applications across the TWD, TAMD, TD and TAD series. It supersedes part number 877104. Note that 877104 is also superseded by 876065 and 876336 - Volvo records that as a multiple replacement, so the old number maps onto a set of current parts ordered together rather than one alternative. Liner kit 876183 carries the same serial break at 7.28 kg but covers a different series list, so order on serial break, series and part number rather than weight.

- Compression down and hard starting
- Crankcase breathing heavily
- Coolant loss into the sump on a wet-liner engine
- Bore found scored, ridged or glazed on strip-down

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the engine serial against 2071097292 before ordering - later engines take a different kit
- If you are working from the old 877104, check whether 876065 and 876336 are also required, since that number replaces as a set
