## 🔌 Function

Carries fuel at injection pressure between the pump and the injector without flexing.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel weeping or wetness at either union
- Diesel smell in the engine space
- Rough running or a misfire traced to that cylinder
- Pipe chafed, dented or kinked where it passes a clamp
- Hairline cracks at a bend or behind a union nut

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Never bend or straighten a high pressure fuel pipe to make it fit, as it will crack at the reworked section
- Refit the original clamps in their original positions, since an unsupported pipe fails from vibration
- Any diesel leak onto a hot engine is a fire risk, so check the unions again after the first run
