A new aftermarket marine turbocharger engineered as a direct replacement for selected MerCruiser and Cummins MerCruiser Diesel 4.2-litre engine installations.

  

This S200W-style turbocharger replaces the unit fitted to applicable QSD 4.2 and D4.2L D-Tronic engines. It uses exhaust-gas energy to drive the turbine and compressor wheels, increasing the volume and pressure of air supplied to the engine.

🔌 Function

  

The turbocharger converts exhaust-gas energy into compressor-wheel speed, supplying pressurised air to the engine intake.

  

The increased air mass allows the engine to burn the commanded fuel quantity efficiently and produce normal torque and horsepower without excessive exhaust smoke or temperature.

  

Common signs of turbocharger failure:

  

• Engine will not reach rated rpm

• Reduced vessel acceleration or top speed

• Low or unstable boost pressure

• Excessive black exhaust smoke under load
