## ⚙️ Key Features

- Water pump to radiator connection
- 0.025 kg
- 41 applications

## 🔌 Function

Forms the rigid spigot a hose pushes onto, giving the clamp a barbed shoulder to seal the hose against.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coolant seeping or dripping where the hose meets the spigot
- Barb ridges flattened, corroded or pitted
- Hose creeping off the spigot or found loose
- Thread damaged or corroded at the mounting end
- Crusted coolant residue or staining around the joint

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- The water pump to radiator position is what identifies this nipple - 976553 is the one for engines with an air compressor and 976040 is a third at 0.034 kg
- Fit a new hose and clamp at the same time; a barb that has cut a groove into an old hose will not reseal
