## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Thread damaged, stretched or cross-started on removal
- Sealing face nicked, scored or pulled out of flat
- Corrosion or scaling narrowing the bore
- Fitting turning in its housing instead of nipping up

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- 994507 is the elbow version at 0.166 kg and 994509 the smaller straight nipple at 0.075 kg, so check the shape and thread of what is on the engine before ordering
- Renew the sealing washer or dress the seat when the nipple comes out; a good nipple on a damaged seat still weeps
