It is manufactured to the original Volvo dimensional, material and interface requirements so the serviced assembly retains its designed alignment, sealing, load capacity and operating reliability. In service, it supports and drives the cooling fan while maintaining concentric alignment with the fan ring. Selection must be confirmed by OEM part number 1674531, the exact engine/product model, serial number and the installed assembly configuration.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

 Volvo Penta TWD740VE

 Volvo Penta TD640VE

 Engine Family:

 TWD, TD

⚙️ Key Features

OEM Volvo Penta part number 1674531

 System group: Cooling System

 Net weight: 1.576 kg

Fits TD640VE and TWD740VE series diesel engines

Supplied as a single fan hub assembly

🔌 Function

The fan hub carries the engine cooling fan and transmits drive from the belt system so the fan can pull air through the radiator and cooling package. It also locates the fan concentrically so it runs true within its shroud.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

Bearing noise, rumbling or squealing that changes with engine speed

Excessive play or wobble when the fan is rocked by hand

Fan blade contact with the shroud or uneven blade tracking

Belt wear, misalignment or repeated belt throwing at the hub pulley

Rising coolant temperatures caused by reduced airflow

🛠️ Service Notes

Check the hub bearing before you fit anything to it — turn it by hand feeling for roughness, drag or play, and look for grease or oil escaping past the seal

Renew the hub as an assembly rather than nursing a rough bearing; a seizing fan hub will strip the belt and can throw the fan

Inspect the fan, its fasteners and the belt drive whenever the hub is disturbed, and check the pulleys line up

Tighten hub and fan fasteners to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine, and check the fan turns true and clears the shroud, hoses and wiring right round

After the first running period, recheck the fasteners and belt tension and feel the hub for unusual heat or noise

📦 Condition

 Genuine Volvo Penta part

 Brand new

Supplied in original or equivalent packaging

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0994/8115/7924/files/original_7aa3abbf-995b-434a-af8b-9c5d832f52a7.jpg?v=1788055967
