3801536-turbocharger-exch-genuine-volvo-penta
3801536 Turbocharger Exch | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta remanufactured turbocharger from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 23.11 kg and listed for 2 applications on TAD-series engines. The exchange unit 3801373 at 23.63 kg and the serial-limited unit 3801470 at 22.18 kg are both close in weight and different fitments, so the part number decides. The reman tables list it for the TAD1351VE to TAD1353VE with long block 3801633 and unit injector 3801618, and again on the TAD1371VE to TAD1375VE group. Reman turbochargers are restored to technically new condition, with wear parts replaced by new genuine parts, brought up to the latest technical specification and tested before being painted. It is supplied on an exchange basis: core deposit 3804536 is charged alongside it and refunded once the old unit is returned, so both numbers appear on the order.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

 Volvo Penta TAD1371-75VE

 Volvo Penta TAD1351-53VE

 Engine Family:

 TAD

⚙️ Key Features

 23.11 kg

 Listed for 2 TAD-series applications

Within 1.5 kg of turbochargers 3801373 and 3801470

Restored to technically new condition and tested

🔌 Function

Uses exhaust energy to drive a compressor wheel, forcing more air into the cylinders so more fuel can be burned for a given engine size.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

Loss of boost with black smoke under load

Siren or whistle rising with engine speed

Blue smoke and oil in the charge air system

Soot tracking at the turbine housing joints

Bearing play or wheel damage found on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

Three turbochargers here fall within 1.5 kg, so order by part number against your engine's parts list

Renew the oil feed pipe and gaskets and find the cause of the original failure before fitting

Return the old turbocharger as the core once the new one is fitted and the engine is running again, releasing deposit 3804536

🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference

Other-Brand OEM Numbers

 Holset: 4031291H

 Holset: 4031291

 Holset: 3785793

 Holset: 3790860

 Holset: 5322493

 Holset: 5329248

📦 Condition

 Genuine Volvo Penta part

 Brand new

Supplied in original or equivalent packaging

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0994/8115/7924/files/original_79fc52b0-9630-418d-a0f6-ce894c7c0eb5.jpg?v=1788074709
