🔧 Product Description
Genuine BRP Evinrude E-TEC Five-Inch Stator Assembly - Part Number: 0586949
A genuine BRP five-inch stator assembly for selected inline two-cylinder and three-cylinder Evinrude E-TEC outboards.
The stator is mounted beneath the flywheel and contains stationary electrical windings. As the flywheel magnets rotate around the stator, electrical current is generated for the EMM, ignition, fuel-injection and battery-charging systems. Part number 0586949 supersedes earlier stator 0586766.

🔌 Function
The stator converts the rotating magnetic field from the flywheel into electrical current. This power supports the EMM, ignition, fuel injectors, fuel and oil systems and battery-charging circuit.
Common signs of failure:
• Battery does not charge correctly
• Engine cranks but does not start
• EMM supply voltage is low
• Engine loses power or stops as temperature rises
• Charging output is intermittent
• Stator windings are burnt or discoloured
• Insulation resistance is below specification
• Connector terminals are overheated
• Flywheel has contacted the stator windings
📦 Condition
• Genuine BRP part
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
