🛠️ Service Notes

• Work scrupulously clean — a nozzle is a precision component with fine machined orifices, and grit carried in on a fingertip or a rag is enough to ruin it
• Never poke, ream or wire-brush the holes or the seat; if a nozzle is blocked or its spray pattern is disturbed, renew it
• Cap or plug the open fuel or oil way while the nozzle is out so nothing can drop into the passage
• Fit new sealing washers, seals or O-rings, clean the seat in the housing and check that seat is undamaged before the nozzle goes back
• Tighten to the figure and sequence given in the workshop manual for your engine; a nozzle pulled down unevenly or over-tightened will distort and leak
