Genuine Volvo Penta oil filler cap installed in the valve cover on D5 and D7 engines. It provides the upper engine-oil filling point and works with the internal neck cap on early covers.

🔌 Function

Closes the upper oil-filler opening while allowing engine oil to be added during service.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit the cap specified for that filler on your engine — caps that look alike differ in seal, venting and pressure rating, and a substitute may hold the system at the wrong pressure or not seal at all
• Wipe the filler neck and check its sealing land for nicks, corrosion and distortion before fitting; many apparent cap leaks are actually neck leaks
• Check the cap's seal is soft and unbroken, and that any vent or breather hole through the cap is clear
• Seat the cap fully, to its stop or lock position — a cap left part-turned will weep, and on a pressurised system can lift
• Never open a cap on a hot pressurised system; let it cool first
