Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta rubber sleeve used in the open crankcase-ventilation assembly on selected TAD5 and TAD7 engines. This sleeve is the lower flexible coupling in the oil-separator/return-line arrangement and is distinct from sleeve 21088555 used at the upper tube connection.

Seals the lower breather connection while isolating vibration and allowing separated oil/vapour plumbing to move without cracking.

• Restricted drain/vent flow caused by a collapsed sleeve

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit onto clean, dry spigots and wipe off any oil or grease; oil attacks rubber and a sleeve fitted into an oily joint will soften and swell
• Do not lever or stretch the sleeve on over burrs or sharp edges — dress the spigot first, since a nick in the sealing band will weep or split later
• Push the sleeve fully onto both spigots so that each clamp lands on the plain sealing band, behind any bead or moulded ridge
• Tighten the clamps evenly and only far enough to seal; over-tightening cuts a groove into the rubber and starts the next failure
• Recheck the clamps after the engine has been run up to temperature and cooled again, and inspect the sleeve at each service for hardening, cracking, ballooning or softening
