69 sterndrive models from the original AQ range through to the current DPS, DPI, DPH and forward-facing FWD drives. Line drawings for the older ranges, plus the identifying features, serial ranges, gear oil, drive oil capacity and available gear ratios for each.

Drive oils these charts point to
The sterndrive chart lists which oil each drive takes. For the drives calling for synthetic API GL-5 SAE 75W-90, the genuine Volvo Penta drive oil is stocked in four sizes: 1 litre, 5 litre, 20 litre and 208 litre. The propeller shaft grease listed on the same chart is 828250.
DP-G drives call for 75W-140 instead, which is 22574246 in a 5 litre container. Volvo's parts data lists that same 75W-140 for DPH drives built to the 1.59:1 ratio, so check the ratio before filling a DPH. Drives listed as taking the same oil as the engine are worth a quick phone call rather than a guess — we will confirm the right oil against your drive's serial.
