• High-pressure delivery pipes are treated as single-use in workshop practice — the union faces seal by deforming, so refit new pipes rather than reusing them, and tighten to the figure and sequence in the workshop manual for your engine
• Refit all original support clips and brackets in their proper positions so the pipe cannot chafe or vibrate against surrounding parts
• Bleed the system, then check the joints for leaks with the engine running and again once warm — never search for a diesel leak by hand, since fuel at injection pressure will penetrate skin
