🛠️ Service Notes

• Work scrupulously clean: cap every open union and keep dirt out of the pipes and the components they connect, since a single particle can ruin an injection component
• Fit the pipes new and do not reuse an old one — the sealing cone deforms as it is tightened and will not seal reliably a second time
• Offer each pipe up so it seats in its cone without being sprung or bent to reach, and start the nuts by hand; never use the nut to pull a pipe into line
• Tighten the unions in the order and to the figures given in the workshop manual for your engine, and do not cure a weeping union by pulling it up tighter — renew the pipe
• Bleed the system as the manual directs and check for leaks with the engine running before closing the space up, keeping clear of any high-pressure spray
