🔌 Function

The clutch magnetically locks the supercharger to its drive during low-speed acceleration, then disengages to reduce parasitic load after turbocharger boost increases.

• Poor low-speed acceleration and black smoke
• Clutch does not engage despite correct electrical supply
• Clutch slips, squeals or overheats
• Incorrect shim stack or air gap
• Compressor remains engaged when it should release

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit every part supplied in the kit and do not mix new parts with used ones — the kit is made up so that the wearing items are renewed together
• Keep friction faces clean and free of oil, grease and fingerprints, and clean any assembly grease off the parts that must run dry
• Inspect the mating drive components before assembly for scoring, heat discolouration, cracks and wear ridges; a clutch will not last if it is fitted against a damaged driving face
• Where the kit includes shims or spacers, set the clearance or air gap to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine and record what you fitted
• Renew any locking fasteners, tighten in the sequence and to the figures the manual gives, and bring the drive into use gently for the first period of running
