Genuine Quicksilver thermostat housing sleeve used in MerCruiser one-piece thermostat housing assemblies. This sleeve is the current Mercury replacement for earlier 23-806922 / 806922 sleeve references and is used on selected MerCruiser 3.0L, 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L, 6.2L, 7.4L and 8.2L petrol engines where the thermostat housing diagram specifies the sleeve retainer.

🔌 Function

The thermostat sleeve locates and retains the thermostat inside the housing so the thermostat can open and close against the correct seat. A damaged or missing sleeve can cause poor temperature control, leakage inside the housing or incorrect thermostat positioning.
