🔌 Function

Uses hydraulic pressure to trim and raise the sterndrive while mechanically limiting maximum tilt travel to the specified 32-degree configuration.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Hydraulic-fluid leakage at the rod, body or hose connections
• Drive drifts down after being trimmed
• Slow, jerky or uneven trim movement
• Port and starboard cylinders moving at different rates
• Pitted, bent or corroded piston rods

🛠️ Service Notes

• Raise the drive and support it securely, taking the weight off the cylinder before anything is disconnected — the drive will drop as soon as the cylinder is free
• Have a tray ready for the fluid that comes out when the hydraulic lines are opened, and cap the lines and fittings so no grit gets into the system
• Fit the cylinder with the rod fully retracted; clean and grease the pivot pins and bushes as specified for your drive and use the new pins, clips or fasteners supplied in the kit rather than the old ones
• Refill the trim reservoir with the fluid specified for your system and cycle the drive fully up and down several times with the cap off until the fluid runs free of bubbles, checking the level between cycles
• With the boat afloat, check the cylinders and unions for leaks under load and confirm the drive holds its trim position without creeping
