🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit the kit complete — all the bearings are replaced together as a set, never individually, so the camshaft runs true
• The bores must be clean, dry and free of burrs and old bearing material before fitting; do not scrape, file or dress a bore to get a fit
• Line the oil holes in the bearings up with the oil feeds in the block and confirm the alignment before and after fitting, because a restricted feed will wipe out the new bearings quickly
• Press the bearings in squarely with the correct mandrel or drawbolt and the right way round; do not use sealant on the shell or drive them in with a hammer and drift
• Check running clearance and camshaft end float against the figures in the workshop manual for your engine, confirm the shaft turns freely, and establish oil pressure before the engine is run up
