🔧 Product Description

Dunbier Grey Low-Friction Trailer Pad Strip 3.2m - Part Number: 3054G

A grey low-friction plastic strip for boat-trailer bunks, skids and glider supports. The smooth wear surface reduces drag between the hull and trailer support, making launch and retrieval easier than carpet or bare timber on compatible hulls.

⚙️ Key Features

• Low-friction engineering-plastic construction

• Grey finish

• Supplied in a 3.2m length

• Water-resistant and does not retain water like carpet

• Can be cut and drilled to suit compatible support rails

📏 Specifications

• Length: 3.2m

• Approximate section: 45 × 10mm

• Colour: Grey

• Material: Low-friction engineering plastic commonly marketed as a Teflon trailer strip

• Fasteners and backing rail are not included unless stated

🔄 Cross Reference & Related Parts

• Dunbier: 3054G

• Other Dunbier colours and lengths: 3053, 3053G, 3054, 3054G, 3055 and 3055B

• Comparable UHMWPE or PTFE-type bunk strips must match dimensions and hull suitability

🚤 Trailer Compatibility & Application

• Commonly used on aluminium boat trailers and other hulls approved for hard low-friction support

• Use caution with fibreglass hulls because reduced friction may allow the boat to slide unexpectedly

• Backing timber or steel must be straight, rigid and free from protrusions

🔌 Function

Creates a smooth replaceable sliding surface between the boat hull and its trailer bunk or glider support.

Common signs of wear or replacement:

• Strip is deeply gouged, warped or cracked

• Fastener heads protrude above the contact surface

• Strip has moved or lifted from the backing

• Hull develops scratches from trapped grit

• Thickness is worn through at concentrated load points

🛠️ Installation & Safety

• Support the boat before removing existing pads

• Countersink fasteners below the sliding surface

• Allow for thermal expansion in long strips

• Deburr cut ends and mounting holes

• Use a positive bow restraint because low-friction strips can let the boat move easily

📦 Condition
