Type C is the stainless steel Duoprop range for the classic Volvo Penta 280, 290 and DP Aquamatic sterndrives, and is the upgrade Volvo Penta offers for enhanced performance, strength and durability. Greater strength allows thinner blades, which give better acceleration and a higher top speed than a comparable aluminium propeller, and the stainless steel makes the propellers durable and highly resistant to cavitation, damage and corrosion. A shock-absorbing rubber bushing and galvanic isolation are built into the hub. This is the C3 front propeller; the matching rear propeller is 3587871, and the pair is also listed as set 3588223. Every set of Duoprop propellers is designed, tested and manufactured together, so the front and rear propellers of a dimension belong to each other.
