🔌 Function

Passes engine or transmission oil across a cooled core, carrying the heat away into the cooling water so the oil stays within its working temperature.

• Oil temperature running high, or the oil thinning and pressure dropping when hot
• Oil in the coolant, or coolant emulsified into the oil
• Core corroded, pitted or weeping externally
• Cooler blocked internally with sludge or scale, giving poor heat transfer
• Sealing faces pitted so the joint will not hold

🛠️ Service Notes

• Order o-ring 3589332, gasket 3589335 and adapter 3589334 with the cooler - all three sit in the same D series group and the cooler cannot be resealed without them
• If oil and coolant have mixed, flush both circuits thoroughly and change the oil and filters twice
• Pressure test the new cooler installation before returning the engine to service
