Genuine Volvo Penta remanufactured IPS drive unit for the 1.59 ratio, weighing 544.76 kg. In the reman IPS range the 1.59 line runs upper gear 3801931, lower gear 3801721 and this drive unit, so a boat needing only part of the drive replaced can take one of the three rather than the whole assembly. A complete reman drive is delivered without the upper tension ring, propellers, rubber rings and steering unit servo. Cores are dismantled, rebuilt to the current bill of material with new genuine parts in place of the wear items and tested in the same quality programme as a new IPS unit. Supplied on an exchange basis: core deposit 3805201 is charged alongside it and refunded once the old unit is returned.

Transmits engine torque to the propellers through the drive's gearing and shafts, and carries the steering and thrust loads of the installation.

• Metal on the magnetic plug or in the drained oil

• Check the ratio on the old drive against the 1.70 unit 3802202 and the 1.84 unit 3801999 before committing
• Core deposit 3805201 is charged with this unit and refunded when the old one is returned - order both together
