🔌 Function

Seals the clutch piston in its bore so oil pressure builds behind it instead of leaking past.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Clutch slipping or slow to engage as pressure bleeds away
• Ring hardened, flattened or broken on strip-down
• Loss of drive when the oil is hot
• Groove or bore scored where the ring runs
• Transmission oil pressure lower than it should be

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is the cheapest way back to full clutch pressure, so fit a new ring whenever piston 3817768 comes out
• Check the piston groove and the bore for scoring before assembly, and lubricate the ring with clean transmission oil
