Collection: Steering Dampers

A steering damper controls the kick that comes back through the wheel when a front tyre hits a rock or pothole, and helps settle the shimmy that bigger tyres and a lift can bring on in solid front axle four wheel drives. This page holds FOX 10", Radflo 10" and EFS pin style and tapered pin style dampers, and PSR kits that pair a damper with the bracket to fit it.

PSR's kits are built for the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series, with a FOX or Radflo damper, and the LandCruiser 80 and 105 Series, with a FOX damper or PSR's own damper kit, plus a damper pin to suit 1/2" bearing style mounts on the 70, 80 and 105. High clearance relocation bracket kits for the Nissan Patrol GQ and GU are listed with the steering components.

Buy a complete PSR kit if your vehicle is listed, since the bracket and damper are matched; for other vehicles, match the mounting ends and length of your current damper. A damper will not cure worn steering parts, so check ball joints, tie rod ends and swivel hubs first. If you are unsure, send us your vehicle and lift height through the contact page.
