Insurance Reports and Repairs
Insurance Reports and Repairs
When a boat or vehicle is damaged, an insurance claim usually needs a clear, professional condition report before any repair work can begin. Sawley's Auto and Marine prepares condition reports for insurance purposes and manages claims through from initial diagnostics to completed repair, for both marine and automotive claims.
What's Involved
- Inspecting the vessel or vehicle and documenting the damage
- Preparing a condition report to support an insurance claim
- Diagnosing the full extent of mechanical, structural or cosmetic damage
- Liaising as needed while the claim and repair are assessed
- Carrying out the repair once the claim is approved
What This Covers
Insurance work through our workshop can involve anything from storm and transport damage to marine engines and hulls, through to collision and mechanical damage on cars and trailers. Reports and repairs are handled for any make or model, marine or automotive.
Where We Work
Inspections, reporting and repairs are carried out at our Kadina workshop, with haul-out or slipway access at Wallaroo Marina where a marine claim requires the vessel out of the water.
What to Expect
Bring in as much information as you have — photos, your policy details and any correspondence from your insurer — and we'll assess the damage and put together a report that reflects what we find. From there we can carry out the repair once your insurer has approved the claim.
Marine and Automotive Claims
The process is much the same whether it's a boat damaged in a storm or at its mooring, or a car involved in a collision or hail event — we assess the damage, document it clearly, and work with you through to the completed repair.
