Outboard Servicing and Repairs in Kadina

Outboard engines take a beating from salt water, sand and long hours on the throttle, and regular attention is what keeps them starting first pull season after season. Our workshop in Kadina handles everything from routine servicing to tracking down the mechanical faults that keep an engine from running the way it should.

What a Service Covers

A standard outboard service typically includes an engine oil and filter change, a check and top-up of gearbox oil, inspection of the water pump impeller, spark plugs and fuel filters, and a look over the fuel system, cooling system and control cables for wear or corrosion. If we find something outside the scope of a standard service, such as a worn impeller, corroded fittings or a failing water pump, we'll talk you through it before any repair work goes ahead.

Repairs and Diagnostics

Beyond scheduled servicing, we repair outboards that are hard to start, running rough, overheating, losing power or throwing warning alarms. That can mean anything from a fuel delivery problem to a more involved mechanical issue inside the powerhead or gearbox. We work on outboards across the full range of makes and sizes, from small tenders and tinnies through to larger sports and fishing boats, including dealer-level Evinrude E-TEC diagnostics and general engine and electronic fault finding.

Where We Work

Servicing and repairs are carried out at our Kadina workshop. If your outboard is on a trailer, you're welcome to drop the boat in; if it's more convenient, talk to us about bringing in just the engine.

Why Regular Servicing Matters

Salt water is hard on outboards. Skipping services lets corrosion take hold in places you can't see, and a worn impeller or dirty fuel filter left unchecked is one of the most common reasons an engine fails out on the water. Staying on top of servicing is the cheapest way to avoid being stranded, and it protects the resale value of the engine as well.
