Genuine BRP Tech Series 7000RPM SystemCheck Tachometer - Part Number: 0177107

A genuine BRP three-inch Tech Series tachometer with integrated SystemCheck warning indicators for compatible Evinrude and Johnson outboard installations.

The gauge has a black dial, white markings, orange pointer, full-size bezel and red-tinted perimeter illumination. It works with the 1996-and-newer Modular Wiring System and combines engine-speed indication with the SystemCheck engine-monitor warning display.

🔌 Function

The tachometer displays engine speed in revolutions per minute. Its SystemCheck section also receives warning signals for engine overheat, low oil, no oil and fuel restriction where those circuits are supported by the engine and wiring harness.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Tachometer needle remains at zero
  • RPM reading is unstable or inaccurate
  • Gauge illumination does not operate
  • One or more SystemCheck lamps fail their start-up test
  • Warning lamps remain illuminated without a matching engine fault
