Genuine BRP Evinrude Johnson 200HP to 300HP Thermostat-to-Cylinder-Head Seal - Part Number: 0339299


A genuine BRP moulded thermostat seal for selected 3.0-litre and 3.3-litre FICHT and Evinrude E-TEC V6 outboards.


The seal fits between the thermostat and cylinder-head cooling passage. It locates the thermostat correctly and prevents cooling water from bypassing around its outside diameter.

🔌 Function


The seal holds the thermostat in its cylinder-head recess and forces cooling water to pass through the thermostat rather than around it.


Common signs of failure:


• Engine runs too cold because cooling water bypasses

• Engine overheats because the seal is distorted

• Water leaks around the thermostat assembly

• Seal becomes hard, cracked or compressed

• Thermostat sits loosely in the cylinder head

• Seal is damaged during thermostat replacement
