A genuine used Evinrude upper shift rod for selected 25HP and 30HP E-TEC direct-injection outboard motors with a 15-inch short-shaft configuration.

The rod connects the engine's upper shift-lever assembly to the gearcase shift linkage. Its length is specific to the 15-inch midsection and must not be substituted for the longer 20-inch or 25-inch versions.
