Part number 0393138 was superseded by 0396730 after a sequence of earlier long-shaft assemblies. The unit is the 20-inch mechanical-shift lower unit used on the older small-hub three-cylinder platform.

🔌 Function

The gearcase converts vertical driveshaft rotation into horizontal propeller-shaft rotation and provides forward, neutral and reverse through the clutch dog.
