Aftermarket BRP / Bombardier Johnson Evinrude OMC Tilt & Trim Motor and Cable - Part Number: 0393988

Twelve-volt reversible replacement trim-and-tilt motor for the newer two-wire, three-bolt BRP/OMC hydraulic trim system. It powers the hydraulic pump used to raise, lower and trim compatible Johnson, Evinrude and OMC outboards and OMC Sea Drive units and cross-references a large established group of marine-electrical replacement numbers.

🔌 Function

The electric motor drives the hydraulic trim pump in both directions, building pressure to raise or lower the outboard and allowing the operator to adjust running trim and trailer position.

Common signs of failure:

• Trim system clicks but the electric motor does not run

• Slow, intermittent or weak raising and lowering

• Operation in one direction only after relays, switches and wiring have been tested

• Excessive current draw, blown fuses, overheating or a burnt electrical smell

• Corroded terminals, water entry, brush wear or abnormal motor noise
