🔧 Product Description
Genuine BRP Evinrude Johnson Lower Rubber Engine Mount Assembly - Part Number: 0434632
A genuine BRP lower rubber engine-mount assembly for selected Evinrude and Johnson 75HP-300HP outboards.
The mount is installed between the exhaust housing and the steering or swivel-bracket structure. Its bonded rubber-and-metal construction controls engine movement while isolating normal powerhead vibration and absorbing propulsion loads, gear-selection shock and impacts transmitted through the lower unit.
Most compatible installations use two lower mounts, with one fitted to each side of the exhaust housing.

• Later 90HP and 150HP E-TEC exhaust-housing assemblies
Important fitment note:
• Confirm the full engine model number, shaft length and exhaust-housing diagram.
• Many applications require two mounts per engine.
• Do not mix different mount part numbers or stiffness specifications on opposite sides unless the BRP parts diagram specifically permits it.
• Mount covers, retaining screws, washers and lockwashers are separate unless specifically included.
🔌 Function
The lower mounts connect the exhaust housing to the swivel-bracket structure while allowing controlled rubber movement.
They help:
• Maintain powerhead and gearcase alignment
• Limit excessive engine movement during acceleration
• Absorb shock when forward or reverse gear is selected
• Reduce vibration transferred into the transom
• Stabilise steering response
• Protect the exhaust housing and mounting brackets from impact loads
Common signs of mount failure:
• Excessive engine movement inside the swivel bracket
• Clunk during acceleration or deceleration
• Engine shifts noticeably when selecting gear
• Steering feels loose or inconsistent
• Rubber separates from the metal plates
• Rubber is cracked, swollen or compressed
• Lower mount covers are damaged
• Mounting screws loosen or corrode
• Exhaust housing sits unevenly
• Increased vibration is transmitted to the boat
• Propeller thrust causes visible midsection movement
Installation considerations:
• Support the outboard securely before removing mount hardware
• Inspect both lower mounts and the upper mount
• Replace lower mounts as a matched pair where practical
• Check the mount covers for cracks or corrosion
• Inspect mounting screws, washers and threaded holes
• Remove corrosion and scale from the mount pockets
• Do not damage the bonded rubber during installation
• Do not apply petroleum-based lubricant to the rubber
• Use the specified marine corrosion protection on approved metal surfaces
• Follow the correct tightening sequence and torque specifications
• Confirm unrestricted steering and tilt movement after installation
• Recheck engine movement before returning the boat to service
