Original complete assembly 0438047 was superseded by 5004635. The standard-rotation large "O"-type gearcase uses a heavy-duty 12:22 gear set with a 1.83:1 reduction ratio. The supplied unit is configured for a 20-inch transom.

🔌 Function

The gearcase reduces engine speed by 1.83:1 and transmits torque through the clutch dog and bevel gears to the propeller shaft.
