Aftermarket BRP-Compatible Starter Motor - Replaces Part Number: 0586279

Brand-new 12-volt marine starter motor for selected Johnson and Evinrude 35HP, 40HP, 48HP and 50HP two-cylinder two-stroke outboards. This unit uses a 9-tooth drive and is designed to replace the later two-cylinder starter family used from the late 1980s onward.

Earlier 40HP and 50HP engines commonly use the 0778993 starter family, so the complete model number and removed starter reference must be checked.

🔌 Function

The starter motor engages the flywheel through its 9-tooth pinion and cranks the engine until it starts under its own power.
