🔧 Product Description
Genuine BRP Evinrude E-TEC Oil-Pulse Pressure Sensor - Part Number: 0586860
A genuine BRP oil-system pressure sensor for selected Evinrude E-TEC direct-injection outboards.
Unlike a conventional four-stroke oil-pressure sender, this sensor monitors pressure pulses produced by the E-TEC oil-injection system. The engine-management module uses these pulses to confirm that lubricant is being delivered. Air trapped within the oil circuit can absorb the pressure pulse and may cause a false NO OIL warning even when the pump is operating.
⚙️ Key Features
• Genuine BRP E-TEC oil-pressure pulse sensor
• Correct OEM reference 0586860
• Monitors oil-injection pump pulses
• Provides lubrication confirmation to the EMM

🔌 Function
The sensor detects pressure pulses from the oil-injection pump and sends a switching signal to the EMM. The EMM counts the pulses to verify that oil is moving through the lubrication system.
Common signs of failure:
• NO OIL warning appears despite a full oil tank
• Engine enters protection or reduced-power mode
• Warning occurs after oil-line or pump service
• Sensor does not register oil-pump pulses
• Sensor leaks oil around its body or hose fitting
• Wiring connector is loose or corroded
• Warning is intermittent as engine temperature changes
• Air trapped in the sensor prevents pulse detection
• Excessive oil delivery occurs during repeated priming attempts
📦 Condition
• Genuine BRP part
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
