Aftermarket BRP-Compatible Starter Motor - Replaces Part Number: 0586957

Brand-new high-torque 12-volt starter motor for selected Johnson, Evinrude and E-TEC V4, V6 and V8 outboards. This unit uses a 10-tooth drive and counter-clockwise rotation under the applicable supplier convention.

The starter covers several large-displacement two-stroke engine families, including 60-degree V4/V6 engines, 90-degree V6/V8 loopers and later E-TEC models. The original starter number and full engine model code must be confirmed because horsepower alone is not sufficient.

🔌 Function

The starter supplies the torque needed to rotate large-displacement outboard engines through compression until the electronic ignition and fuel-injection systems establish combustion.
