Aftermarket BRP-Compatible E-TEC Starter Motor - Replaces Part Number: 0587045
Brand-new starter motor for selected Evinrude E-TEC 15HP, 25HP, 30HP, 40HP, 50HP, 55HP, 60HP, 65HP, 75HP and 90HP outboards. This 12-volt unit uses a 9-tooth starter drive and replaces the established 0586768, 0587007 and 0587045 starter family.

🔌 Function
The starter rotates the E-TEC crankshaft at the speed required for the engine-management system, injectors and ignition system to begin the starting sequence.
Common signs of failure:
• E-TEC engine does not crank when the start command is given
• Cranking speed is too low for normal electronic starting
• Starter relay clicks but the motor does not turn
• Pinion spins without engaging the flywheel
• Grinding during engagement or disengagement
• Intermittent armature dead spots
• Excessive current draw, heat or voltage drop
