Common signs of wear:

• Overheating at idle

• Cracked or missing vanes

• Hub separates from the rubber

• Drive pin is worn or sheared

• Impeller does not turn with the driveshaft

• Pump cup is scored

• Rubber fragments block the cooling system

Installation considerations:

• Confirm the pin-key arrangement

• Inspect the driveshaft and key bore

• Replace a worn drive pin

• Inspect the cup, plate and housing

• Lubricate the impeller before assembly

• Rotate the driveshaft while lowering the housing
