Dunbier Standard Two-Hole Trailer Coupling 50mm - 2000kg - Part Number: 1010

A galvanised standard trailer coupling for 50mm tow balls and trailers up to the coupling's marked 2000kg rating. The two-hole mounting base is commonly used on light and medium boat-trailer drawbars, while the adjustable ball socket allows wear clearance to be set correctly.

• Galvanised finish

• Adjustable ball-head clearance

• Positive trigger locking mechanism

📏 Specifications

🚤 Trailer Compatibility & Application

• Suitable for unbraked trailers and trailers with independent braking systems where a fixed coupling is specified

• Check the trailer compliance plate and required coupling rating

• Mounting-hole spacing and drawbar width must match the existing installation

🔌 Function

Provides the primary mechanical connection between the trailer drawbar and the vehicle's 50mm tow ball.

Common signs of wear or replacement:

• Coupling rattles excessively on the tow ball

• Trigger or safety catch does not lock

• Ball socket is visibly worn or deformed

• Mounting holes are elongated

• Corrosion prevents smooth operation

🛠️ Installation & Safety

• Fit using correctly rated high-tensile bolts and locking nuts

• Adjust only enough to remove excessive ball clearance while preserving free articulation

• Verify positive latching by lifting the coupling after connection

• Connect the safety chain separately

• Do not exceed the lowest marked rating in the towing system

📦 Condition

• Brand new Dunbier Marine Products trailer component

• Supplied as one complete two-hole 50mm coupling

• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
