🔧 Product Description

A genuine Volvo Penta anchorage used to secure the engine-oil dipstick guide tube to the sump or engine structure. The formed retainer keeps the dipstick tube correctly positioned and prevents vibration from damaging the tube, O-ring or oil-pan connection. This anchorage is used across modern D4 and D6 marine engines and a broad range of Volvo industrial D5, D8, D11, D13 and D16 installations. It is normally fitted with dipstick-tube O-ring 944124 and the corresponding guide tube and dipstick.

The anchorage holds an oil system component or line in its correct position on the engine, keeping it clear of surrounding parts. By fixing the routing it absorbs vibration and prevents movement that would otherwise fatigue joints and connections.

🛠️ Service Notes

• An anchorage carries load and vibration, so inspect the bracket itself as well as its fasteners — look for cracks, elongated holes and corrosion around the mounting faces
• Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and flat and that the part seats fully; packing out a bracket that does not fit puts bending load into it and into whatever it supports
• Fit new fasteners, washers and locking devices where the original arrangement used them, and tighten to the torque given in the workshop manual for your engine
• Where the anchorage includes a rubber element, keep oil, fuel and solvents off it, and renew it if it is softened, oil-swollen, split or collapsed
• Check the alignment of whatever the anchorage supports after fitting, and recheck the fasteners after the first period of running
