🔧 Product Description

A single component black silicon adhesive that cures at room temperature. It is suitable for both gluing and sealing operations where a strong elastic seam capable of withstanding temperatures from -65°C to +230°C is required. It has excellent adhesion to metal, rubber, glass and most plastics, and the silicon adhesive is resistant to oils, greases, solvents, etc. This is the 20 gram pack.

🔌 Function

Forms a flexible, gasket-replacing seal between mating engine components, sealing against oil, coolant and combustion gas leakage, and bonds lightly loaded joints where a solid gasket is no longer used.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Oil or coolant seepage at a sealed flange or cover joint
• Sealant bead hardened, cracked or lifting away from the surface
• Product in the tube cured or thickened so it will not extrude cleanly
• Repeated weeping after assembly, pointing at too little bead or a contaminated face
• Cured squeeze-out breaking loose and blocking oil or coolant passages

🛠️ Service Notes

• Use the tube for small joints and the 310 ml cartridge 1161231 where a long bead is needed
• Clean and degrease both faces and let the compound cure before the joint is loaded
