A hand-operated boat-trailer winch designed to pull a vessel onto its trailer using a webbing strap. • Published catalogue capacity: 700kg

• Corrosion-resistant Dacromet-coated finish

• Supplied with approximately 7m webbing strap with heavy-duty snap hook

• Designed for boat-trailer launch and retrieval

📏 Specifications

• Gear ratios: 5:1 and 1:1

• Catalogue capacity: 700kg

• Strap: approximately 7m webbing strap with heavy-duty snap hook

🔄 Cross Reference & Related Parts

• Dunbier: 1162G

• Related service part: Dunbier 7198 pawl kit and 1200 handle

• Replacement S-hook strap: Dunbier 1192

• Replacement snap-hook strap: Dunbier 1194 where length and drum attachment match

• Replacement hex handle: Dunbier 1200 for compatible multi-speed winches

• Comparable winches must match mounting pattern, rated line pull, gear ratio and strap capacity

🚤 Trailer Compatibility & Application

• Suitable for compatible Dunbier winch posts and other posts with the same mounting pattern

• Choose winch capacity using vessel weight, ramp angle, roller/bunk friction and trailer geometry

• The winch is for loading and positioning; separate rated bow and transom restraints are required for road travel

🔌 Function

Turns the strap drum through reduction gearing to pull the bow toward the winch post with controlled mechanical advantage.

Common signs of wear or replacement:

• Pawl skips, sticks or does not hold the drum

• Gear teeth are chipped or excessively worn

• Drum or frame is bent

• Strap is cut, frayed, sun-damaged or chemically contaminated

• Handle, shaft or bushings have excessive play

🛠️ Installation & Safety

• Bolt the winch to a structurally sound post using rated fasteners

• Wind the strap evenly across the drum without twists

• Keep hands, clothing and bystanders clear of the strap and drum

• Never stand in line with a loaded strap

• Use a separate bow safety chain or strap before towing

📦 Condition

• Brand new Dunbier Marine Products trailer component

• Supplied as one complete 5:1 and 1:1 trailer winch with webbing strap and handle where specified

• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
