🔌 Function
The turbocharger converts exhaust-gas energy into compressor-wheel rotation. The compressor supplies pressurised air through the intercooler to the intake manifold, allowing the engine to produce its rated power while maintaining efficient combustion.
Common signs of failure:
• Reduced boost pressure and loss of engine power
• Engine cannot reach its rated full-load rpm
• Excessive black smoke under acceleration
• Blue smoke or increased engine-oil consumption
• High-pitched siren, scraping or grinding noise
• Oil present in the compressor outlet or intercooler
• Excessive radial or axial shaft movement
• Damaged compressor or turbine blades
📦 Condition
• Sawley's Select Marine Parts aftermarket replacement
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
