🔌 Function
This sacrificial internal anode is designed to corrode in preference to the aluminium cylinder head, cylinder block or exhaust-water-jacket components. It reduces galvanic and electrolytic corrosion inside the raw-water cooling passages and must be inspected and renewed before it is heavily depleted.
Common signs of failure:
• Anode is heavily pitted, reduced in size or completely consumed
• White oxide, salt crystals or corrosion products are visible around the anode location
• Cooling passages show internal corrosion or scale
• Anode retaining surface is damaged or the anode no longer seats securely
• The manufacturer's inspection or replacement interval is due
📦 Condition
• Genuine Honda part
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
