🔧 Product Description

Genuine OMC 105 KM/H Mechanical Pitot Speedometer - Instrument Reference: 122994

A genuine used OMC marine speedometer with a metric-only dial calibrated from 0 to 105 kilometres per hour.

The analogue instrument uses water pressure from a transom-mounted or gearcase-mounted pitot pickup to operate the internal speedometer movement. It features a dark face, contrasting graduations and an orange pointer suitable for vintage Johnson, Evinrude and OMC instrument panels.

The number 122994 appears on several OMC speedometers with different dial ranges. It should therefore be treated as a shared instrument-body, mechanism or stamped manufacturing reference rather than a unique complete service number for this 105 KM/H calibration.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Genuine OMC marine speedometer
  • Metric-only 0-105 KM/H dial
  • Mechanical pitot-pressure operation
  • Dark vintage OMC instrument face
  • Suitable for compatible Johnson, Evinrude and OMC dashboards

🚤 Compatibility

Commonly used on

  • Vintage OMC instrument panels
  • Johnson and Evinrude-powered boats with OMC dashboard instruments
  • Boats equipped with a mechanical pitot-tube speed system
  • Transom-mounted or compatible gearcase-mounted water-pressure pickups

Typically suits

  • Instrument Type: Mechanical marine speedometer
  • Dial Range: 0-105 KM/H
  • Signal Type: Pitot water pressure through flexible tubing
  • Engine Compatibility: Not engine-specific
  • Electrical Requirement: Illumination only, where fitted
  • Installation Requirement: Confirm dash cutout, bezel, mounting depth and pressure-tube connection

🔌 Function

Water entering the pitot pickup creates pressure proportional to boat speed. Flexible tubing carries that pressure to the speedometer, where the internal movement converts it into a speed reading.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Speedometer remains at zero while the boat is moving
  • Reading is consistently low or inaccurate
  • Pointer jumps or responds slowly
  • Pitot pickup or pressure tube is blocked
  • Pressure tube is split, disconnected or leaking
  • Internal movement is corroded or seized
  • Lens is fogged or damaged

🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference

OEM Supersession Chain

  • No confirmed OMC supersession chain has been verified for the 105 KM/H dial version
  • 122994 is a shared stamped instrument reference rather than a confirmed unique service number
